Pune to Alibaug: Distance, Road Trip & Beach Tour2 Days / 1 Night by road from Pune
Nagaon & Kashid beaches, Kolaba Sea Fort on a private AC cab from Pune — about 140–160 km and 3.5–4.5 hours by road via Pen. The published hub package is ₹17,000 (2 Adults) with AC Dzire, one AC hotel room, toll, parking and driver allowance. Pune groups do not take the Mumbai–Mandwa ferry unless they start in Mumbai.

₹17,000 (2 Adults) · AC Dzire, 1 AC hotel room, toll, parking & driver allowance
Pune to Alibaug road trip at a glance
Pune to Alibaug distance by car is about 140–160 km.
The drive normally takes 3.5–4.5 hours via the Pen corridor, depending on your exact Pune pickup, traffic and beach drop. Pune travellers reach Alibaug by road; the Mandwa ferry is a Mumbai-start option and is not part of the Pune road route.
One Half Sand. One Half Tide.
Alibaug, Nagaon, Kashid and nearby Kihim are the beach half. Kolaba Sea Fort is the fort half — a walk only when the tide allows. Mandwa is on this road; Murud-Janjira is a longer add-on, not in the hub package.

Beaches
The hub weekend is built around Nagaon and Kashid — the beaches most Pune groups actually ask for — plus time on Alibaug’s own public beach. Kihim sits nearby on the same coastal belt if you want a quieter stretch. These are short chauffeur loops, not a Mumbai ferry day.
The town beach closest to the jetty and Kolaba approach. Weekend crowds, shacks and water-sport vendors are normal. Activity prices belong to those operators — we do not quote them here.
Exact hub line: Nagaon & Kashid beaches. Nagaon is nearer the town belt and fills faster on Saturdays. Kashid is usually the longer, quieter run north of town. Your chauffeur uses legal lots and waits.
Kihim is a short coastal hop from the Alibaug–Nagaon belt, useful when you want less noise than the main beach. It is part of the same weekend geography, not a separate package.

Forts
Kolaba (Kulaba) Sea Fort is the signature monument: at low tide you can walk the causeway; at high tide you need a boat. Mandwa is the jetty village north of Alibaug on this same road — not how Pune groups usually arrive. Murud-Janjira is a longer coastal add-on and is not included in the published hub package.
When the tide is out, the fort is a walk across wet sand and rock. Wear shoes with grip; the surface is uneven and slippery. We plan this stop around the tide table for your dates, not a brochure clock. When the causeway is underwater, local boats run from the jetty — boat fees are paid there, and we do not invent those fares.
Mandwa is a nearby jetty and beach halt if you start or stay on the Alibaug–Rewas belt. It is not the default Pune itinerary. The Mumbai–Mandwa ferry is a Mumbai-start product; Pune pickups come by road via Pen (about 140–160 km, 3.5–4.5 hours).
Murud-Janjira is a separate sea-fort day further down the coast (boat from Rajpuri jetty). Extra kilometres, extra hours, and any boat tickets are quoted in writing if you ask. They are not inside the ₹17,000 (2 Adults) hub line.
Day-Wise Plan from Pune
Matching the Maharashtra hub: Nagaon & Kashid beaches, Kolaba Sea Fort. Fort timing follows the tide table for your dates.
Pune to Alibaug · Nagaon & Kashid
140–160 km by road · about 3.5 to 4.5 hours
Doorstep pickup in Pune
Morning pickup from anywhere in Pune, PCMC or near PNQ. This is a road trip via Pen — not a Mandwa ferry from Mumbai, unless you are already starting in Mumbai and we quote that separately.
Drive via the Pen corridor
Highway and coastal approach with a tea or brunch halt. Arrival around midday depending on traffic near Pen and Alibaug town.
Nagaon, Kashid or Alibaug beach
Hub highlights are Nagaon and Kashid; Alibaug beach and nearby Kihim are the usual nearby alternatives. Check in if the room is ready. Meals are your own expense. Water sports, if any, are paid to beach operators.
Night halt in Alibaug
One AC hotel room included for two adults. The property is confirmed in writing for your dates — no hotel name is advertised on this page.
Kolaba Fort · return to Pune
Local fort loop + return highway
Kolaba Sea Fort on the tide window
We align this block with low tide for the causeway walk when possible. If the tide forces a boat crossing, that fee is yours at the jetty. We do not print a clock time that the water cannot keep.
Optional Mandwa or second-beach halt
Short stop at the beach you skipped on Day 1, Kihim, or a Mandwa jetty-side walk before checkout. Murud-Janjira is not squeezed into this morning unless you have already booked it as an add-on.
Return drive to Pune
Same Pen corridor back by road. Doorstep drop typically late afternoon to evening depending on fort timing and highway traffic.
Tide table is the plan
Kolaba Fort is scheduled around the tide for your dates. A printed hour on this page would be misleading — we confirm the window when we hold your booking.
Pune arrives by road
From Pune you drive. The Mandwa ferry is relevant if your party starts in Mumbai. Mixing both into one quote without saying so is how weekends get confusing.
Murud-Janjira is extra
The hub package is Nagaon, Kashid and Kolaba. Janjira boat tickets and the extra coastal kilometres are quoted only if you ask.
Monsoon changes the sea
Rough-sea weeks are poor for swimming and sometimes for the fort causeway. The written package fare does not surge; what you can safely do may shrink.

Alibaug Tour FAQs
Distance, tides, beaches and what the ₹17,000 figure covers.
What is the duration and price of the Alibaug package?+
The package is 2 Days / 1 Night at ₹17,000 (2 Adults), matching the Alibaug Beach & Sea Fort Tour entry on our Maharashtra tour packages hub. Highlights are Nagaon & Kashid beaches and Kolaba Sea Fort. That figure includes a private AC Swift Dzire, one AC hotel room, toll, parking and driver allowance. Meals, boat fees, water sports and personal expenses are not included. Larger groups and other vehicle categories are quoted on the outstation per-kilometre card: Sedan ₹13/km, Ertiga ₹16/km, Innova Crysta ₹22/km (250 km/day minimum average) and Tempo Traveller ₹32/km (300 km/day minimum average), plus driver allowance ₹500/day, night halt ₹500/night, with toll extra on per-kilometre trips.
How far is Alibaug from Pune, and do we take the Mandwa ferry?+
Alibaug is roughly 140 to 160 kilometres from Pune depending on the exact drop point. The drive takes about 3.5 to 4.5 hours via the Pen corridor. Pune groups travel by road. The Mumbai–Mandwa ferry is useful only if your party starts in Mumbai; ferry tickets are not part of this package and are not priced here. Mandwa itself can be a nearby halt once you are already on the Alibaug coastal belt.
Can we walk to Kolaba Sea Fort?+
Only at low tide, when the causeway is exposed. That walk is across wet sand and rock and can be slippery — it is not a dry promenade. At high tide you need a local boat from the jetty; boat fees are paid to operators there and are not part of the ₹17,000 package. We schedule the fort visit around the tide table for your dates.
Which beaches are covered? What about Kihim and Murud-Janjira?+
The hub highlights Nagaon and Kashid beaches plus Kolaba Sea Fort. Alibaug’s own beach and nearby Kihim are the usual short loops on the same weekend. Murud-Janjira is an optional add-on further down the coast; extra kilometres and any boat tickets from Rajpuri are quoted separately and are not included.
Are hotels and meals included?+
One AC hotel room for two adults is included; the property is confirmed in writing for your dates. We do not advertise a hotel name on this page. Meals are your own expense unless a meal plan is written into your quotation.
Is a same-day return possible?+
A same-day cab can touch Alibaug, but combining a proper beach halt with a tide-correct Kolaba visit is tight. The hub package is 2 Days / 1 Night for that reason. Cab-only same-day quotes use the outstation per-km card.
