Pune to Shirdi via Ahmednagar
Roughly 185 to 190 kilometres of driving on the Pune – Ahmednagar – Shirdi corridor. One tea and washroom halt is taken near Ahmednagar or Rahuri. Actual running time is four to four and a half hours depending on traffic near Chakan and Ahmednagar town.
Freshen up and walk to the temple gate
The vehicle drops you as close to the Samadhi Mandir entry as the day's traffic diversions allow, then parks at the designated lot. Most travellers use a paid cloakroom near the complex for footwear, phones and bags before joining the queue.
Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir darshan
Queue time is entirely outside our control. On an ordinary weekday it can be under an hour, and on Thursdays, festival days and long weekends it can stretch to several hours. We plan a wide window here rather than promising a fixed darshan slot.
Dwarkamai, Chavadi and Gurusthan
The remaining darshan points sit within short walking distance of the main mandir, so no additional driving is needed. Lunch is usually taken here — either at the Shirdi Sai Prasadalaya or at a restaurant of your choice near the complex.
Optional Shani Shingnapur detour
Shani Shingnapur lies roughly 70 to 80 kilometres from Shirdi and is the most commonly requested add-on. Tell your chauffeur in the morning if you want it, because on a same-day trip it shifts the return departure later and lengthens the day.
Return drive to Pune
The same route in reverse, with one halt en route. Doorstep drop in Pune is typically between 20:00 and 21:30 depending on how long darshan took and whether the Shani Shingnapur detour was added.

Evening aarti attempt and Dwarkamai
Many travellers try for an evening aarti. Aarti timings are published by the temple trust and change seasonally, so confirm the current schedule locally on the day. Dwarkamai and Chavadi are usually covered in the same evening walk.
Early morning darshan, then breakfast
The early morning queue is generally the shortest of the day, which is the main reason we recommend the overnight format for anyone who dislikes standing for long stretches. Gurusthan and the remaining points follow after darshan.
Optional Shani Shingnapur, if not already done
If you kept the detour for the second day, this is where it fits. The vehicle covers roughly 70 to 80 kilometres each way and then continues toward Pune from there.
Return to Pune with a lunch halt

Temples and Darshan Points in Shirdi
Four of the main points sit inside or beside the same complex and are covered on foot, which is why the vehicle spends most of the Shirdi hours parked rather than driving. Shani Shingnapur is the one add-on that needs real road time.
Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir
The central shrine of Shirdi, built over the resting place of Sai Baba, with the marble murti behind the samadhi. This is where the main queue forms and where almost all of your waiting time on the trip will be spent. Queue length varies enormously by day and season, so treat any single estimate with caution.
Dwarkamai
The old mosque structure where Sai Baba spent a large part of his life in Shirdi, and where the dhuni, the sacred fire, is maintained. It sits inside the temple complex, a short walk from the Samadhi Mandir, so no additional driving is required to include it.
Chavadi
The building where Sai Baba slept on alternate nights during his later years. It is a quieter stop than the main mandir and is traditionally visited alongside Dwarkamai on the same walking loop through the complex.
Gurusthan
The neem tree site associated with the earliest period of Sai Baba's presence in Shirdi, marked today by a small shrine. Most visitors cover it either immediately before or immediately after the main darshan, since it is only a few minutes' walk away.

Shani Shingnapur
About 70–80 km from ShirdiThe Shani temple at Shingnapur is the most requested add-on to a Shirdi trip and is why the hub lists this package as Shirdi and Shani Shingnapur together. On a same-day return it makes for a long day, so it is worth deciding at booking time rather than on the road. On the overnight format it fits comfortably into either afternoon.
Shirdi Sai Prasadalaya
Near the temple complexThe large dining hall run by the temple trust, where most pilgrims take their meal. Charges, timings and token arrangements are set by the trust and are paid directly by you. Your chauffeur can drop you at the approach road and wait, but we neither collect nor include any prasadalaya charge.
Nashik and Trimbakeshwar
About 90–120 km from ShirdiTravellers who want to extend beyond a two-day plan often continue toward Nashik and Trimbakeshwar. This turns the trip into a three-day itinerary and is quoted separately on the outstation per-kilometre rate card below, with driver allowance and night halt added.

Darshan timings vary
Temple opening, aarti and darshan timings are set by the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust and change with the season and with festival calendars. Confirm the current schedule locally on the day of travel. Nothing on this page should be read as a guaranteed darshan time.
We do not sell darshan passes
KP Travels provides the vehicle, the chauffeur and the trip planning. We do not sell darshan passes, we do not arrange paid queue entry and we make no VIP-queue promise. Anyone offering you a guaranteed queue shortcut through a cab operator should be treated with suspicion.
Queue duration is unpredictable
Wait time at the Samadhi Mandir can be well under an hour on a quiet weekday and several hours on Thursdays, weekends and festival days. Both itineraries on this page deliberately keep a wide window around darshan instead of pretending the queue is fixed.

Can Shani Shingnapur be added to the trip?＋
Yes, and it is the most commonly requested add-on. Shani Shingnapur is roughly 70 to 80 kilometres from Shirdi. On the same-day return it lengthens the day noticeably, so decide at booking time rather than on the road, and expect a later drop in Pune. On the 2 Days / 1 Night format it fits comfortably into either the first afternoon or the second morning.
Which format suits senior citizens better?＋
The 2 Days / 1 Night format, in almost every case. It avoids a pre-dawn start, splits the driving across two days and lets you take the early morning darshan queue on day two, which is generally the shortest of the day. The same-day return involves nine hours or more of driving inside a single day, which is demanding for older travellers and for families with small children.
What vehicle should a group of twelve or more book?＋
A Tempo Traveller. We run 13 to 26 seater air-conditioned Tempo Travellers, which are the usual choice for bhajan mandals, temple groups and extended family darshan trips.
